A Malian visual artist, Mohamed lives and works in Bamako. Passionate about drawing from a young age—an art he inherited from his father—he graduated from the Conservatory of Arts and Multimedia Trades Balla Fasséké Kouyaté and is an active member of the Tim’Arts collective, a group of young Malian visual artists.
His artistic approach is distinguished by the decomposition of subjects through a multitude of vibrant strokes in varied colors, suggesting a continuous movement on the canvas, reminiscent of the Post-Impressionist movement.His figurative paintings, deeply rooted in the daily realities of Malian society, depict the social and economic challenges faced by many young people today.Mohamed has participated in over twenty national and international exhibitions. His work has been featured:- at the 31st Salon des Artistes pour la Liberté in Angers (France) (2016),
- at “Meeting Hassan Massoudy” at the French Institute of Mali (2018),
- during the inaugural exhibition of 60 years of Malian creativity at the Bamako Museum (2020),
- at the group exhibition held at the European Union Embassy residence in Bamako (2020),
- and at the 18th edition of the Ségou’Art Contemporary Art Salon (2022).
His work has earned him several prestigious awards:- 2nd Prize Winner at the International Painting Encounters of Ouagadougou (RIPO) (2021),
- Winner of the Drawing Competition (2020) at the International Festival of Caricature and Comic Art of Bamako (FESCAB),
- 2nd Prize Winner at the "Total’ Arts" competition (2019).
